Wee

I thought while I was at it, I would add another page that I did previously. The paper and frame designs on this page are from the Midsummer Swelter Page Kit by Rina Kroes from Scrapbook-bytes.com.

I make dirt look good

Okee dokee, I did another page. This time I used a freebie scrapbook page layout from Tracy's Scraps called "Tied Together". I like the way it turned out, I hope you do too! (click to make it bigger)

Where is Alabama?...A geography lesson of sorts

Mobile, Alabama to be exact.
For the longest time I thought I lived in the good old United States of AMERICA. Well, according to some people, I live in Europe and am a part of the French nation.
You see, after EADS/ Northrop-Grumman was awarded the Air Force contract to build the new tanker, there has been an out lash of criticism saying that the tanker is going to be built on foreign soil. For those of you who don't know, the tankers will be built in MOBILE, ALABAMA...and what do you know? That is a part of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA! If you don't believe me check the map below: (which was pulled from Google maps)

See, I live in the United States. We aren't even connected to foreign soil (unlike a certain crybaby company that is just a hop, skip, and a jump from CANADA.) I mean I don't even think that Mobile has even tried secede from the Union since the 1800s. So, would all the dingbats that think this tanker is going to be built on foreign soil, by foreign workers wake up? It is going to be built in MOBILE, AL by AMERICAN WORKERS. It will be creating jobs for AMERICANS.
Okay, rant over. Wait, one more thing...If you support what I'm saying please go to this website and vote that you DO support the decision for the tankers to be built in MOBILE, ALALBAMA, UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

EDIT:
For further reading about the tanker deal you can read here.

A new page

I've been wanting to do a new page, but couldn't decide what to scrap. I was going through my pictures and saw this picture of Conner with Captain Hook and knew this is what I wanted to do. I love digiscraping, but I just wish that I was better at it so I could do it more often.

Anway, here's my page:

Update on Conner's blog

I have started moving some of Conner's contents from his babysite to his blogspot. It's definitely going to take some time, but hey! at least I'm getting it done, right? I'll be adding more pictures soon.

Here's a link to his blog: The Chronicles of Conner

Sometimes it just stinks...

Being a parent, that is...
The other day we went to a cute little hot dog restaurant in Daphne called "Frosty Dog". They make wonderful hot dogs with all sorts of toppings and they serve ice cream. Billy and I had been there before and I had told Billy that the next time we were there I wanted to try some Cotton Candy Ice cream. It just looked so yummy!
So, like I said the other day we went there with Conner. Of course him being the curious 2 1/2 year old he is he had to get up and "see" everything and not eat. We had told him that if he ate his hot dog he could get some ice cream. Well, the bribery didn't work. He didn't eat his hot dog, instead, he opted to run around. So, he didn't get ice cream. Therefore, I didn't get ice cream.
I couldn't get ice cream and just eat it in front of him. I mean it would have made a point ( I ate my hot dog so, I got ice cream.), but it would have just been plain mean to eat ice cream in front of him after telling him he couldn't have any.
So, there! That is what it stinks to be a parent sometimes...lol
